6.August.2000 from Dereck Thom: I think I may be related via William GREGG {M} [P134] = Jane THOM {F} [P135]. My Jane is the daughter of Archibald Thom (1762-1832) and Margaret Candlish(1766-1837), my gt,gt,gt,gt, grand parents. Jane was born in Maybole , Ayrshire 21st of August 1808 (Margaret was possibly visiting relatives) but christened in Dalrymple, the family home. Archibald was a joiner and with Margaret emigrated with other children to Ontario, Canada c.1830 and died there soon after.
