Jeff Higgins - June 2004:
Child 6.Ivie Gregg, born 29 Oct 1857 at Colmonell. He married Martha Ross at Kirkholm in Ballantrae on 18 Nov 1879. They had 3 children and lived at Ballantrae. Ivie was a shepherd, I have all census entries for Ivie except 1901 which, despite extensive searches, I have been unable to locate.
I can't find a 1901 census entry for Ivie and family, at first I thought they may have visited the U.S. around that time, but there seems to be no Ellis Island entry for an Ivie Greig (or variants). Maybe I haven't looked hard enough for Ivie in the 1901.
