II Adrianus Scheyde, portersboss, chr. Amsterdam 14 jan. 1758, † Amsterdam 24 dec. 1813, lived on the Anjeliersgragt and on the Lauriergracht 163 in 1813.
As a teenager Adrianus made two travells with the Dutch East India Company to Indonesia as a sailor. Returning from his first trip on the legendary "Woestduyn" Indiaman, the ship went under just off the coast of Flushing. He, and 86 others were resqued by the now famous Frans Naerebout and crew.
