William WHITESIDE {M} [P2356]

Born ABT 1843, Ayrshire Scotland
September 2012. Jacqui Wilkinson tells us: My own link comes from George Calvert Whiteside (the nephew referred to in the 1891 census) who I was surprised to find in Cheshire as he was living in Ireland. (A chance discovery on ancestry.com)
He is my great grandfather, and is the son of William who emigrated to the USA and married Rosanna Calvert from Dublin on 9 July 1870 in Cook County Illinois. The family returned to Dublin between 4th Feb (George’s birth) and October (George’s baptism) and remained living there. To find George and Edith visiting/ staying in Cheshire was amazing as it opened up the other Whiteside generations for me and led me to Greggs.
