Agnes Norton[P475]dress maker] gave birth to a girl - Janet Norton Gregg[Illegitimate.P493] on 11th January 1864.The father was named on the birth certificate as - William Gregg[silk-weaver], and 'not present' at the registration. It is possible the father could have been William Gregg[P475] born 9 March 1800. He was aged 64 at that time!! - or his nephew William[P489] born 20 April 1827, who would have been aged 37 but married to one Agnes Paton.
