The Rivers String Quartet was founded in the 1980s to provide live music, both  “light” and “serious”, for occasions such as weddings, garden parties, business functions, publicity events - in fact wherever high quality live background music is required.

Our ever expanding repertoire covers a wide range of styles, both popular and classical. We specialise in the light music repertoire such as Viennese dance music, Gilbert & Sullivan, songs from the shows, ragtime, etc.

Previous clients include Ernst & Young, East Anglian Daily Times, British Telecom, Suffolk Association of Architects and Bank of Scotland.  We have played for numerous weddings throughout Eastern England, both civil and church, and their associated receptions.
