Worship
An established feature of the IPEC year is the annual United Service which takes place on a Sunday evening, usually in October. We make a point of moving the event around to different venues, although, in practice there are a limited number of churches large enough to host this popular event.

We aim to make the worship vibrant, whilst being sensitive to the varying backgrounds of our members. The speaker is normally a nationally known person with a message relevant to the current IPEC programme.

Website
The IPEC website exists not only to provide members with up to date information of IPEC and events but also as a means of encouraging members to keep us informed of their events. This provides the dual function of publicity and (hopefully) minimising clashes of dates.

Events
IPEC seeks to organise a number of events throughout the year. Some of these are designed to help particular groups of people whilst others have a more general appeal.

Each year we ensure that there is at least one event aimed to help leaders, and in the 2001/2002 year a series of leaders seminars were run to address a range of management and other issues faced by leaders today.

The current year has also seen
IPEC taking an active role in the EA's facevalues programme. We have led the way with a number of town-wide events including Nicky Gumbel at the Corn Exchange, Mark Greene talking about workplaces, and Steve Chalke with the "Faithworks" tour We are pleased when member churches respond to the encouragement of such events and set up their own programmes and we are seeing this happening.

Prayer
In the last two years prayer has been emerging as a key feature of IPEC's activities. For many years leaders prayer cells have existed within IPEC. During 2000 Liz Beaton was led to establish a prayer network for lpswich and the surrounding area, lpswich In Prayer. One of the aims is to establish a 24 hour, 7 day per week "prayer wall" around the town. The "prayer watch" scheme aims to pray for specific areas in the life of the town.
